the tv is on is a full-length piece directed by chloë engel. Using a TV as the 5th and central performer, this piece deconstructs relationship, longing, and grief within an archetypal family unit. The myth inside the family portrait, the loss of time when staring at a TV, intimacy within the home, and ranting as survival are notable themes in this work.
