In practice, this looks like participants listening as I verbally guide a meditation. I encourage participants to engage in “passive movement”. Examples include: walking, rocking, patting the body, writing, drawing… any kind of movement that feels sustainable and also holds potential for expansion. The meditation functions as a scaffold. The meat of the narrative that the participant experiences is generated by themselves in real time. For an hour, I provide a dream template and participants are prompted to fill in the details with their subconscious associations. The provided template varies from class to class, but are all based around and inside the body. Typically, I end each session with an open discussion in which people are welcome to share their experiences with each other.
